Colin Pells CV
Profile
I am a highly motivated and conscientious individual who thrives on challenge and performs well under pressure. More than six years of freelance work has provided a high level of self-discipline and the ability to use initiative when working alone. I am enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills. With industry experience I have a good understanding and respect for the importance of detail, accuracy and deadlines. I have a friendly and personable nature and I am able to fit into teams quickly and effectively.
Skills
I have the ability to organise tasks from the conception of a job and assist in creating briefs through to the completion of the project. I have a wide experience of practical disciplines ranging from freehand drawing, painting, computer graphics creation, sign-writing, fibre-glassing, metal and timber work.
Personal
After three years at college one of my illustrations was selected for the Association of Illustrators’ annual exhibition (‘Images’ – Best of British). I have passed grade 8 piano, grade 6 violin, and I have undertaken voluntary work with children and local charities. I enjoy regular voluntary conservation work including hedge-laying and coppicing. I crewed on a yacht from Australia to New Zealand and I am an advanced scuba diver. I cycled in the Indian Himalayas across the highest motorable road in the world and I have run the London Marathon in 3 hours 34 minutes.
